Flawed People

As of January 19, 2012, at 12:24a.m. the world's population is:
6,988,752,515

And no matter how hard you try, no matter where you search, you will never find one perfect person among them.  Not one...

WE ARE ALL

And this brings us to what I've had on my mind lately.  No matter where you find yourself in this world, no matter what your station in life is, no matter your race, gender or age- God can use you to further His kingdom.  Yep-you...and me...and anyone who is willing.  You don't have to wait  until you are old enough or finished with school, or land the perfect job, or have kids, or have your temper under control, or get married, or become wise, or you are always obedient, or you are brave, or you are strong, or you are fluent in other languages, or you have forgiven anyone who has ever wronged you, or until you are ready to serve...or in other words: qualified.

I'm sure you have heard that quote before...and it's true.  If you have accepted the Lord Jesus as your savior - you - are - called.  Every single one of us can be used of God.  All we have to do is ask Him to lead us.  There are millions of ways that God can use us, and for many reasons.  But I believe His main purpose is to bring more people into His kingdom:

This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1Timothy 2:3

If you think you have to be perfect before you can be used, think again.  See if you can think of one person in the Bible who was perfect, besides Jesus.  You won't find one...

Jacob was a cheater and a liar, Peter had a temper, was full of  pride and then denied Jesus 3 times!  David had an affair, and then had his mistress's husband placed on the front lines so that he was killed (murderer?)  Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God and some people call him prejudiced, Paul was a murderer: he persecuted Christians, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossiper, Martha was a worrier, Esther was fearful, Thomas was a doubter, Elijah was moody and showed lack of faith in God, Moses stuttered - and murdered an Egyptian, Zaccheus was short, Isaiah was a man of unclean lips, Solomon (the wisest man on earth) -  showed lack of wisdom! Sarah was impatient, Abraham lied, and Lazarus was dead....

So, we have no excuse

The time is now:

And this should be our prayer:

Have a blessed week.

For my followers:
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.  I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

Ephesians 1:16-19
